1. Welcome the tourists at Bonaventure

Where: Bonaventure Cemetery Visitors' Center

Volunteers are needed to help in welcoming an increasing number of tourists coming to the popular Bonaventure Cemetery. It will be for one 3-hour shift a month. New volunteers are eligible for a free membership in the first year. There will be full training to be provided. 2. Volunteer at the American Cancer Society

Where: American Cancer Society

If you're looking for a variety of volunteering tasks, you can find a number of opportunities at the American Cancer Society. Here, volunteers are needed to do tasks such as assembling bulk mailings, answering phones, assisting patients/customers with information and providing assistance to patients who are in the patient services room. 3. Provide companionship to Hospice patients

Volunteers are needed at United Hospice to provide companionship to patients in the Savannah area. You can also share your skills at the Hospice if you are a professional photographer, a licensed beautician or a certified massage therapist. Do you have a certified therapy dog? 5. Be a volunteer at the front desk

Volunteers are needed at the Community Cardiovascular Council in Savannah. You will be staying at the front desk where you can do various tasks such as checking patients in and out, taking blood pressures and entering collected data into the computer. 6. Make a positive impact at St. Joseph's - Candler

8. Save animal lives as a Save-A-Life volunteer

Where: PetsMart on Abercorn in Savannah

At Save-A-Life, pet-loving volunteers are always needed. Volunteers are needed to provide foster care to abandoned or abused pet. If you can't foster but you are a true blue dog-lover, you can also be a dog-walker and a dog-holder during the mobile adoption hours. 9. Become a blessing at the Old Savannah City Mission

Volunteers are needed to serve meals, sort donations and perform maintenance work. Be part of the Mission to: proclaim the gospel; feed the hungry; shelter the homeless; rehabilitate the addict, and restore the ex-offender.

10. Give back and support your neighbors at the Y
