Whether you have a cat or a dog as a pet, we cannot deny how our feline and loyal canine companions make our family whole. Our furry companions not only make us happy, they also contribute to our overall sense of well-being. Several studies show that owning a pet have some perks on health, some of these benefits include:

1. According to the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, children exposed early to animals develop a strong immune system.

2. Based on the study conducted by the National Institute of Health (NIH) Pets can decrease your level of cholesterol, blood pressure, and triglyceride levels, thus, decreasing your risk of having a heart attack.
